Halcon & Lane

Meet your Labour Team for Halcon & Lane ward:

Liam Canham

I am local to Taunton having been born and raised here.

I have spent the majority of my career working in the public sector, predominantly within the field of housing. I also spent time volunteering within the Taunton area through work with the Police and until recently serving on the Board of Trustees of a homelessness charity.

I believe it is fundamental to society to have people willing to stand up for our communities and advocate on their behalf about issues they feel are important. For that reason I have put myself forward to stand as a candidate in 2019.

Stan Ely

A Social worker by profession, I currently work with vulnerable adults with learning disabilities.

I am a married family man, with two young daughters who attend primary school in Taunton. I consider myself to be an honest and loyal member of the community, who believes in the values and principles of the Labour party in the pursuit of a more equal society, based on justice and peace.

I am proud to be a member of the Labour party and wish to make a contribution to the best of my ability to ensure Labour has a local platform as representatives of the many and not the few in our communities.
